That's right Skip has
added a new workshop in addition to his "Famous
Maine Workshop." This time he is teaching on his
home turf in Maryland at its most beautiful time of
year - autumn.
You've seen the rolling hills and beautiful trees in Skip's landscapes, now it's your turn to see and paint them for yourself!

What This
Workshop Will Mean to You.
After you have explored all the “how to's” of painting, you are still stuck with the “why?' Without a clear declaration of what one wants to say in one's painting, it can become just an imitation someone else's work. Skip Lawrence challenges painters to rewrite the rules their way, to consider their choices and shake up their status quo.
Through lecture, demonstration and critique, Skip guides each painter to refine their intention and express it in new and honest ways. No one else but you can say what you want to say in paint - why settle for less? With insight, warmth and humor, Skip brings out the best in each painter. The class is taught in watercolor, but mixed media is welcome (except oil based paints.) Class is limited to 25 students and will fill quickly!

Bon Secours Spiritual Center is located in the rolling hills of central Maryland. Set amid 313 lush landscaped acres, including nature trails, a pond, and labyrynth, it is a perfect sanctuary to find your deepest inspiration.
Accomodations include brand new private rooms with full bath, three buffet meals a day plus snacks, and a spacious studio that is open ‘round the clock. There are hospitality kitchenettes and lounges to relax and share a glass of wine with your fellow artists (BYOB encouraged!) A fitness room is also available to guests.
Marriottsville is 30 minutes from Baltimore/Washington (BWI) Airport, easily accessed by shuttle. (The all inclusive nature of the workshop renders a rental car optional.) The workshop will be held from Sunday evening October 26 through Friday afternoon on the 31st, 2008.

A full week's tuition, five nights all inclusive lodging, meals, and amenities all for only $1,050.00. Enrollment will be confirmed upon receipt of the 50% deposit, which is $525. The full balance is due by September 28, 2008.

Students are required to supply their own painting materials, including paints, brushes, and paper. Please see Skip's recommended materials list and stock up prior to the workshop.
Due to the limited class size, cancellations must be made in writing no later than September 28, 2008. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the workshop start date will relinquish deposit.
